Terry Gibbs, Wycliffe Bible Translators, is working at Payap University, covering teaching, computer and virus fixing, theses formatting advice, etc., but a big event and challenge was the Mutilingual Education course, 52 people from 16 countries in this 6 week course.
In regular classes he has also taught students about the Speech Analyzer program and the new FieldWorks grammatical analysis program, used as software linguistic tools to translate unwritten languages into a written language and then to translate Scriptures.
He also attended a Bible dedication at a town where he had previously helped the national translator with another software editing tool used with his very unusual writing system. The dedication was a wonderful time to renew relationships from many years ago. Seeing the people eagerly accept this New Testament in their own language was a joy.
Please pray for his work and his family, especially daughter Leilani, who continues to have thyroid imbalance problems and has not been able to continue in college.
