Jack Smith - WorldVenture, retired, but still ministering in the field, writes:
Thanks you for praying as I struggle to learn a new language (Luganda). There have been a number of breakthroughs. I am at the point where I can share Christ and pray for hospital patients, although very crudely. In addition, Luganda has opened up an entire new group of people that can be reached for Christ.
Another area I want to thank you for is your generous support. Now that I am reclassified as an International Resource Consultant, I support myself. However, because of your kind contributions I have work funds that I can use. How am I using your money? Some of the projects are: evangelizing prisoners, providing medicine to hospital patients, training university students to become lay ministers, enabling psychiatric nurses to counsel patients with mental disorders. I also use your work funds to pay for gas, car repairs, and the language teacher.
Thank you for enabling me to have a full ministry in Uganda. Blessings -- Jack
